So my old man is about to reach his sixtieth year and to celebrate this feat we have a couple of his favourite artists that hold this weeks offerings together like a firm roast beef sandwich. Along with the likes of Kate Bush and John Martyn we also have records from the riotous Period Pains, Harlem and the Annoying Lobsters. Some soulful sounds from Aloe Blacc and some rather strange but amazing music from South African musician BBC. X

Faultless in appearance, this weeks records are inspired by the Tramp I saw this week complete with Squash Racket. Featuring fine records from Micachu and the Shapes, Eddie Halliday, Knight School, Fools Gold and even some Northern Soul, It's a show that is bound to keep you feet tapping and your hips swaying x

It's sad to think the the Hornblower Brothers may never grace the Brighton Music scene with their infectious indie melodies, I guess we'll just have to wait and see....

However we thought that this was the perfect excuse to pull out of the Tuckshop archive the session we did with them several years ago, before the days of Cameras and Jonny the soundman's wizardry. It's been a hectic week at the Tuckshop HQ, not only did we record twp living room sessions, but I also managed to snap one of my pedals right off. it was a very long jog back to my destination with a bike by my side.

It's been getting a bit colder down here in North London. The conkers are being bashed and the Blackberry crumbles are being eaten. A little late this week as I am taking a much needed rest down in the Westcountry. It's been a funny few days on the streets of London,the tube strike has caused all sorts of trouble with the daily commuters. The city has been full of gridlocked roads, Angry drivers, clumsy cyclists and ambitious runners all realising how much they miss going underground.

To ease the pain, we have records from the likes of Thee Vicars, the anti job, indie pop princes the maccabees, future title contenders - fanfarlo. Well, after a long wait the Annoying Lobster sessions if finally here and boy, it is an absolute belter. These guys not only entertained us with interesting banter and anecdotes, but also introduced us to some wicked Danish acts.

OK......So this is late, but I've been having technical problems.....For those of you wanting a session with the Annoying Lobsters, I promise it will be out on Friday, however in the meantime enjoy the bad ass bday show, as it features tracks from the cool cobalt cranes, the inspiring blue jungle, the awesome eddie halliday and the downright deadly death cigarettes.

Well we're now back, fresh from the two week sojourn of California. It was a fine jaunt along highway 1, mixing it with hippies in Yurts, coming face to face with Whales in Monteray and watching punks fight rednecks in Santa Cruz, however the show must go on abs we have some beauties from you .

Yep, we're back once again with another "Living room sessions" and boy is this one a beauty.

Recorded somewhere in the murkier side of Stoke Newington, Tuckshop met up with a group of Housewives, a meeting which proved to be quite an encounter!

After we sat down to some cake and Tea, this fine band produced an even finer session which even featured contributions from their neighbours (who sadly didn't share our enthusiasm). Sorry for beig a day late this week, I have a bonafide reason in that I was Hungover, a very rare position fro me indeed! It'll probably be the last time I indulge in a couple pints of Guiness at Walhamstow Dogs!
